RODGER (Endacopia): The Mirror Clone, the Fight and the Name

The first time Mellow talks to his own reflection in House II and picks the intimidating line, the mirror opens — and something wearing his face comes after him.

Who he is

RODGER is the Surgeon’s failed attempt to make “another you”: twice Mellow’s size, a darker red cap, extra hands around the base, pupils inside pupils, boils and veins, a torn shirt. The Surgeon: “that was my attempt at making another you. Sadly, it did not compare to the real deal.” (Asking the Surgeon about “rodger” by name does not work — ask about your reflection/clone instead.)

Skip or fight

Past the mirror, walk either way — RODGER spawns on the opposite side. If you never stop running, you fall through a trapdoor straight to Henry and never fight him; that is most players’ instinct anyway. Stand still or walk toward him and the fight starts:

  • Falling fist → block.
  • Falling grab → keep your hands away from where it lands; if caught, your hands are pinned until you punch three times (which also restores some stamina).
  • He descends during the fight, slowly then faster; at the bottom he bites and returns to the top. Punch him (aim where he is) to stop the descent; you can punch immediately after breaking a grab.

The attic conversation

If you fought him, look at the ladder from the top of the attic later and he’s there: “Hellow again.. Rodger,,,”. He says Mellow used to be called Rodger, that after “you died” Mellow started acting funny and they stopped playing pattycake, that Mellow came back to his room with red water from his head, slept a long time, and “a doctor came and fixed you” — after which something was different.

That is the key to the whole plot: see Mellow and Lore explained.
