Red Jester (Ticketo) in Endacopia: Booth, Mic & Sandwich

“Welcome to Misery Town..” — the Red Jester says it like an apology. He is the first face in the circus and the last obstacle before the Trapezist.

Who he is

  • Look: tall, red full-body suit, white gloves, red jester’s hat with yellow bells, two blue tears painted under his eyes, cyan hair. (The Pierrot describes him as blue-nosed and green-haired; the developer confirmed she is colourblind.)
  • Job: entrance-booth attendant and announcer for Misery Town — the only way he knows to make a living, and the reason he is miserable. Before the Trapezist falls he worries about losing the job; after, he says he is glad he no longer has to work there.
  • Love life: none, by his own estimate (“What do I even have to offer?”), which is the point of the puzzle.
  • Name: Ticketo, revealed only in Ending C when you ask the Surgeon “Who is the jester?” — “That’s Ticketo, the ticket seller for Misery Town. He’s never had any ambitions, which has led him to a dead-end career.” Mellow, less kindly, calls him “a pathetic looking jester boy”.

The microphone puzzle

The booth’s microphone calls the crowd into the big top, and he will not let you use it however often you ask.

  1. Learn Boon’s insecurity at the bingo game, then insult Boone with it — he breaks down and gives you the cat plushie.
  2. Show the plushie to the Pierrot at the train-ride booth; she asks you to give it to the Jester as a gift from her. (Giving it to him directly, without her, also works.)
  3. He decides to meet her, leaves to eat a sandwich with her on the bench, and the microphone is yours. Tell the queue to leave and the tent opens.

Afterwards the two are eating sandwiches on her bench and, later, kissing in her booth — interrupt them and they pull the shade. The whole sequence in order: Misery Town walkthrough.

The Pierrot — the “mime girl” — has her own page: the Pierrot (Ticketa). Boon, Boone and the rest of the circus are on all characters.
